Improve Your Students’ First-Year Experience with EBI®

Research and experience have shown that targeted courses for first-year students correlate with improving student success with the first-year experience, retention and student satisfaction. EBI’s proven assessments are rooted in educational theory and research, utilize rigorous statistical methods, and are closely aligned with the recommendations from The John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education. With this in mind, EBI and experts from The John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education, John Gardner, Betsy Barefoot and Randy Swing, have developed the First-Year Initiative Assessment and the Foundations of Excellence assessments. As a result, EBI provides higher education professionals with the information and support they need to enable students to succeed in their first year of college.
